We're not currently advertising jobs while we make some important system changes, and you won't be able to log into My Applications. You can still join our Talent Network so we can keep you up-to-date with new opportunities, and we'll be advertising jobs again on an improved website soon. Don’t worry if you’ve made an application recently, one of our recruitment team will be in touch.

Our graduate and internship programmes aren't affected by this, and are still open for applications.

NatWest Markets Internship

Our NatWest Markets internship provides you with the chance to develop your understanding of how our business works by rotating through our customer facing businesses or in our Risk team, so you’ll start building your skills from day one.

About the programmes

Our summer internship will give you first hand experience of the work we do in NatWest Markets. You’ll be supporting us to develop leading-edge, innovative solutions to serve our customers in the best way we can.

We’ll reward you with a competitive salary.

This internship’s a great opportunity to:

  • Develop your existing skills, and build some new ones
  • Meet new people and develop your professional network
  • Deepen your understanding of our business
  • Experience our team culture and values
  • Gain valuable career experience, which will inspire your future career choices

For us, it’s about finding talented and innovative people who’ll make a difference to our business in the long term. That’s why if you complete the internship successfully and enjoy your experience, there could be a place available for you on our 2021 NatWest Markets graduate programme.

What you'll do

As an Intern, you’ll be sitting with a couple of different teams during your time with us, and you’ll learn a mix of practical knowledge and technical market skills.

The internship starts with an induction and then you’ll begin your work placements where you’ll receive training and start to get an insight into how our business works.

We’ll pair you up with a ‘buddy’ and a line manager who’ll support you while you’re with us. Your buddy will be a current Analyst or Associate who’ll help you get settled by sharing their experience. Your line manager will provide guidance and support throughout the programme, and help you develop your professional network.

About you

If you’d like to apply for an internship, you’ll need to be in your penultimate year of a university degree, and on course to achieve a 2:1/3.4 GPA or equivalent. If you’re applying for our Quant Analytics programme, you’ll need to be in the penultimate year of a Master’s or PhD.

We’re looking for people who have a real passion for innovation, and who want to take on new challenges head on. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn new skills.
