The role-holder is responsible for meeting the technical training requirements of the team and also responsible for managing reconciliations processes. The primary responsibility of the role-holder is to undertake verification and authorisation of loan transactions in accordance with SLA, adhering to the agreed TAT ensuring client satisfaction.

Commercial and private banking division provides Banking solutions to the UK corporate and commercial client base, this includes large corporate and institutional clients , commercial SME segment , business banking and private customers. The division provides lending, trade finance and transactional banking solutions to our customers. Our vision is to be the number one bank for customer service, trust and advocacy by 2020.
Lending operation in CPB is a 250 member strong team who support the loan value chain from credit sanctions to disbursal and life cycle management. We support both LIBOR and Bank of England base rate benchmarked loans and offer syndicated and bilateral facilities along with strong agency support. We exist to design, deliver and operate market leading capability to create the best bank for our customers, while meeting the financial targets of the business.
•Ensure timely and accurate closure of assigned tasks and activities. Perform all functions in line with internal and external targets and also ensure that queries are investigated accurately and raised with the relevant parties without delay, escalating them where needed
•Review manual or ineffective processes which could be automated, or enhanced, to enable the provision of superior client support. Build and maintain key relationships with colleagues across Operations and Front Office
•Continuous process improvement and investigation of the root cause of issues, discrepancies and strive to prevent its recurrence through various initiatives
•Good level of understanding with regards to Risk & Control, understand and follow the escalation matrix and levels both internally and externally.
•Assisting to respond to ad-hoc queries and from key WCRS stakeholders, ensure to process/approve the transactions accurately leading to nil operational loss
•Timely escalation of exceptions and incidents & also monitor any outstanding entries/breaks.
•Having an eye for detail & ability to note minute things to avoid any misses
•Ensure self-training and develop personal development plans to be in line with Lending Ops skill matrix and volunteer for the technical training needs of the team
•Contribute to make GHI a Center of Excellence and take ownership of the processes being handled
•Commitment to deliver both BAU and ad hoc responsibilities to the highest standards. Willingness to learn and deliver within a short span of time
The Skills You Will Require
•A Bachelor in Commerce Degree in banking and finance
•At least 2 years experience in Banking operations and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment of growth and change
•Strong problem solving skills with a logical approach. The role-holder will need to look at root cause of any issue and drive through initiatives to prevent reoccurrence
•Be able to work in a team, be reliable, proactive, and have an eye for detail.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Be able to work under pressure and adhere to defined timelines
•Have a conceptual awareness about Banking & Lending operations and be able to multi task
•Influence continuous improvement in team service, processes, and quality
•Strong understanding of product and processes, banking systems, of the industry and its customers
