Principle Software Designer (RPA & UiPath)

The Role:


The role will design, engineer and deliver world class, disruptive, simplified and straight through solutions for various business areas within NWMT and bring about significant cost savings by virtue of transforming existing business processes and leveraging contemporary technologies such as RPA / Machine Learning.

 

What the Business Does:


The Role is in RPA + ML team, Natwest Markets Technology Division and reports to Head of Business Unit.

 

Your Responsibilities:


As Principle Software Designer - Robotic Process Automation + Machine Learning Specialists your key responsibilities will be:

  • Work with business / technology stakeholders in identifying use cases to apply technologies to solve business problems

  • Work with Ops & Tech, business subject matter experts to identify processes for automation

  • Determine appropriate technologies to apply to automate or improve processes

  • Lead Proofs of Concept (POCs) to test suitability of technologies in solving business problems

  • Develop business cases to justify investments (where required) to implement solutions (e.g., estimate costs to implement and resulting benefits)

  • Drive the implementation of the solution across technology and business resources, identifying and eliminating roadblocks

  • Investigate strategic solutions for products and take ownership of driving resolution

 

The skills you will need:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of working experience in technology development and / or architecture, project management and/or related areas
  • Solid Experience in working with contemporary emerging tech – Robotic Process Automation, machine learning and enable its evangelisation across the organisation
  • Strong Experience in tools such as UIPath and Automation Anywhere
  • Experience in core Python
  • Strong understanding of Global Investment Banking  Markets, Products and Business
  • Solid f2b functional expertise and experience.
