As a Health & Wellbing Consultant, you'll be managing a portfolio of clients across the region, and providing consultancy solutions, covering their Safety, Health and Environmental needs. You'll be joining a unique and specialist area within our business, and enjoying a great deal of autonomy in your work, while also having the support of a friendly team.
This role will include travelling around Kent and surrounding areas.
Mentor helps businesses manage Employment Law & HR, Health & Safety and Environmental matters as a business partner providing consultancy, support, advice and protection. Delivering our services face-to-face, over the phone and online, we tailor our services and support to meet individual business requirements.
What you'll do
As a dedicated Consultant covering a portfolio of around 80 clients across the region, you'll be travelling to meet clients and gaining a deep understanding of their business needs and priorities. You'll be building strong business relationships, and providing practical and bespoke solutions across a range of safety, health and environmental services.
By providing a consistently excellent, flexible and responsive consultancy service, you'll be helping to win trust, grow our client base, and maximise our client retention rates.
In the course of your work you'll be:
- Developing, pricing, selling and delivering training courses to clients
- Delivering bespoke safety, health and environmental consultancy services
- Supporting the development of Mentor, through contribution to projects and working with the sales team to secure prospective clients
- Developing new training/consultancy services and enhancing our safety, health and environment proposition
- Supporting clients through effective crisis management, where required
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role you'll need the motivation and strong organisational skills to manage your own client portfolio and diary. You'll also need strong practical experience in a safety, health and environmental role, and a record of providing guidance and support on safety, health and environmental issues, across a variety of sectors or business areas. Membership of IOSH and/or the Occupational Safety & Health Consultant’s Register (OSHCAR) is also a requirement.
You'll be able to draw on experience of working in environments where decisions are made based on risk evaluation and professional judgement, and you'll have experience of carrying out safety, health and environmental audits. You'll also need the strong communication skills required to build trust and share your knowledge and expertise in a clear and engaging way.
As travel will be an integral aspect of this role, you must be in possession of a driver's license. You'll be confident working on your own initiative, and building relationships with a diverse range of clients.
