The reward for doing a job well is more than your monthly salary
Wherever you work for us, you’ll have access to a range of benefits and in many countries you can adjust these to suit your needs. You can usually expect access to benefits like retirement savings plans, healthcare schemes, important insurance, the chance to buy additional holidays and exclusive discounts from big retailers.
There’s something for everyone, and we make it easy to take advantage of those options. By using RBSelect, you can decide how much of your pay your want to convert into value-added benefits online.
Here's a little more detail on some of these benefits and options:
Planning for your retirement
RBS operates pension schemes around the world, and you can take advantage of the benefits these plans provide. When you join, you’ll have online access to detailed information about your pension benefits, including the ways in which we can help you save and plan for your retirement.
We offer a variety of employee share plans. In the UK and ROI you can participate in Sharesave, a savings plan which gives you the option to buy shares in the future at a pre-determined price. In the UK, you can also buy shares up to a monthly limit, from pre-taxed pay under the Buy As You Earn (BAYE) scheme. Taking part in our share plans is an easy way to invest with potentially tax-free benefits.
Discounts on products and services
'Your Offers' is our third-party discount programme which gives you discounts and offers on a range of products and services. The website is packed with special offers from brands like Apple, HP and many more - all giving generous discounts on everything from holidays and gifts, to electricals and cars.
Getting involved in and supporting the local community is one of the ways we can contribute to doing the right thing as a bank. This is one of our values and that's why we want to make it easier for you to find out about volunteering and fundraising opportunities.
Payroll Giving is an easy way for you to regularly donate to your favourite charity directly from your salary. Plus the bank picks up all the administration fees so that all the money you donate goes to charity.
Your charity will benefit because they don’t have to spend any money in order to gain your donation, they will have a regular, reliable income stream which will enable them to plan and budget for the future.
Payroll Giving is currently available in the UK, Ireland, India and USA.
RBS supports applications for community grants from employees in the UK. We will consider grant nominations that are for a registered local charity or a local project of a larger national charity that will benefit local disadvantaged people and that fall under the following categories:
- Children and young people (under 18)
- Health and Illness
- Social Welfare
