This role is the central point of contact for all release related activities, new infrastructure requirements, introduction and on boarding of new technologies, procurement of new hardware, environment allocation, changes in release or build process, production issues relating to application, infrastructure and environment setup and coordination of group wide infrastructure initiatives e.g. power down tests, data centre moves, to deliver project as per defined testing process
What the Business does
This role is based in the Risk Solutions at Technology India reporting to Project Manager.
The Technology Delivery India team provides application development services for Core, F&S and for Finance technology. In addition, the team provides Infrastructure services for global requirements. The team is also responsible for executing major change programmes and IT support to the user base in India; the team also provides technology solutions to India Bank.
Risk Solutions has been created within the Services/Transformation to partner with the Risk Executive Committee in developing and delivering a comprehensive technology and operational strategy covering key risk areas such as Credit, Market, Enterprise and Operational Risk. It will collaborate closely with divisional CAOs, Technology Services, Data Services, Finance and Treasury in providing core capabilities supporting the management of risk and capital, meeting rapidly evolving regulatory demands, and improving customer experience.
This position is for Retail Credit Risk.
As a Release & Environment Lead your key responsibilities will include:
Provision and maintain environments as required by the application development, testing teams
Coordination of release activities in conjunction with the development and production support teams
Embrace build and deployment best practice within the department
Maintain documentation and inventory lists relating to the departments hardware, environments, release artefacts and process documents.
Provide a timely and effective response to environment/release queries by analysing, investigating and fixing them as required
Lead and develop a team of release and environment engineers, designers and leads
The Skills you’ll need
In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:
Experience as Release and Environment Lead of around 8-11 yrs.
Rich experience on DevOps using industry recognised tools
Excellent communication and people management skills
Understanding of source control, continuous integration and configuration management toolsets
Unix/Linux Operating system and Shell Scripting
