Join us as a Release and Environment Manager and help deliver a tier 1 programme of significant Business enhancements to critical Bank functions.
What the Business does
This role will support the new Treasury Management System (TMS) during the critical Tranche 2 period. The programme is delivering a new platform to Treasury Front Office, TMO and Risk to manage the funding of the Bank. Tranche 1 Money Market functionality went live in May 2017, Tranche 2 will introduce Bond, Repo and IRD products to the platform.
The Programme team members are specialists in multiple skills with the necessary experience to work directly with the Business stake holders, to take Business Requirements from inception through to production delivery. Environment and Release management disciplines are critical to ensure the quality of the testing and deployment of change to production.
You'll work in partnership with RBS and third party development and infrastructure teams to manage the availability of application test environments.
You’ll work with Technology Partners to understand the test environment build requirements.
Coordinate allocation of environments to specific TMS Programme streams (up to 30 active environments). Schedule environment refresh and batch events according to test requirements.
Assist with the design and build of test environment monitoring and capacity management.
Coordinate the deployment of Murex and internally developed software upgrades.
Coordinate and configure the MQ and Argon Communication streams
Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of the release process.
The Skills you’ll need
In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:
Strong Technology Background
Murex architecture knowledge
Experience of managing Murex Software and Configuration deployments.
Strong communication skills.
Good knowledge of testing practices.
Oracle and/or SQLServer RDBMS Fundamentals and SQL skills.
Version control disciplines. (e.g. svn, Git)
Unix & Pearl Scripting
Experience of working with Messaging Middleware (ideally MQ and Argon).
Agile SDLC experience
