The Business

Job Title: Lead Software Designer

Job Location:  Gurgaon

 

The Role

Role is responsible for technically managing a team of developers and setting the technical direction of that team, ensuring that software is developed to meet both the functional and non-functional requirements of the project while ensuring adherence to important development principles of the Bank. Ensuring delivery of the highest quality solutions through the use of unit testing and integration testing are also important facets of this role. The lead should have a good understanding of the business area they operate in and should encourage learning of the business processes within their team.

What the Business Does

This role is based in  Risk Solutions reporting to Project Manager.

Risk Solutions has been created within the Services/Transformation to partner with the Risk Executive Committee in developing and delivering a comprehensive technology and operational strategy covering key risk areas such as Credit, Market, Enterprise and Operational Risk. It is collaborated closely with divisional CAOs, Technology Services, Data Services, Finance and Treasury in providing core capabilities supporting the management of risk and capital, meeting rapidly evolving regulatory demands, and improving customer experience.

 

Your Responsibilities

As Lead Software Designer, you will have to ensure delivery of the highest Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Focus on how the software being developed can benefit our customers and ensure that work undertaken is in the best interests of those customers

  • Instil a customer focussed ethic within the team, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything they do

  • Build relationships with other members of the delivery team, the department and the banks wider technical community

  • Define the strategic vision of the team from a technical perspective

  • Deliver that vision by developing software and tools to meet project objectives

 

Skills you need

 

  • Relevant Work experience of 8 - 12 years

  • Significant experience & demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of SAS Data Integration Studio(DI Studio), SAS Management Console, Platform Process Manager, Teradata (or similar database technology)

  • Solid facilitation skills to gather the necessary information to document and/or develop a plan - strategic/tactical

  • Participate in meetings and discussions with Functional/Technical Leads to understand the requirements and work out a design

  • Experience in Big Data (Hadoop) will be an added advantage
