We're looking for a Root Cause Analyst to help improve and maintain RBS International's data quality. Through the root cause analysis of key data elements and the original data source, you’ll be looking at how it was collated, the business outcomes and the processes and systems used.

RBS International is part of the offshore arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland. We are committed to prudent financial management, quality customer service and continuous technical and banking innovation.

What you'll do

Under the leadership of the Head of Data & Analytics (D&A), you'll be improving and maintaining RBSI’s data quality through the root cause analysis of our static data. This will allow you to provide options for improvements to the banks data quality, and then work to implement them. You'll also become the link between the business and the D&A team to make sure the banks data gets to, and remains, at a high quality.

You'll then present your analysis findings to wider stakeholders, gaining support and buy-in to build and implement the solutions, making sure that they're fit for purpose while adhering to the controls and guidelines set out by the Data Management policy.

What you'll bring

You'll be able to draw on your knowledge of data management and understanding banking systems and customer processes, and pair this with your ability to see the bigger picture and understand cause and effect.

We're also looking for:

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to present to key stakeholders
  • The ability to plan and be organised
  • Confidence with MS Office

As a Financial Services organisation we comply with and support the requirements set by our Regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which are designed to protect our customers. This role falls under Conduct Rules of the Individual Accountability Regime (IAR) and is subject to pre-employment screening. This means if your application is successful, you’ll need to satisfy some important background checks before you can start working with us. These will include a full credit check, a criminal record check, residency and right to work checks.

How we'll reward you

In return, we offer a competitive salary plus 25% cash and benefit funding programme that can be tailored to suit your individual needs. In addition, we provide a wide selection of exclusive lifestyle offers, development and learning programmes, services and support designed to help you manage and balance your work/life priorities. For more information on our benefits, please visit our website.

At RBS, we want everyone to feel welcome, regardless of your background or needs. If you need adjustments to your working environment, we’ll do everything we can to support you. As part of this commitment, we offer flexible working options for some of our roles.

At RBS, we are focused on becoming the UK’s number one bank for customer service, trust and advocacy by 2020. We are simplifying our business, concentrating on the areas where we can lead the market, and placing our customers at the heart of everything we do.
